100 Percent

What type of person inspires and motivates people? Usually, it’s a person who is very passionate about what he or she is doing. Usually, they’re on fire and you can tell right off the bat that they are the type of person that gives 100%!

We've all heard the term "giving it 100%" but what does it really mean? What makes 100%? What does it mean to give it 100%? What makes up 100% of life? Here's a simple mathematical formula that might answer these questions for all of us:

If you take A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X-Y-Z

and represent each letter as a number like:

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-20-21-22-23-24-25-26

then

H-A-R-D-W-O-R-K

8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11 = 98 percent

K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E

11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96 percent

but

A-T-T-I-T-T-U-D-E

1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100 percent

The lesson for all of us is pretty clear. Hard work and knowledge are a prerequisite for success, but without a POSITIVE ATTITUDE, you'll never reach your FULL POTENTIAL and give your family, your company, and your life 100 percent!
